Hakgala Botanical Garden of Sri Lanka

Hakgala is very cool climate area of Sri Lanka. Hakala garden is highest botanical garden of Sri Lanka and situated between Nuwaraeliya and Welimada towns. Hakgala area consist lower Celsius value of temperature in every time of the year. There are about 10km from Nuwaraeliya and about 15km from Welimada. Hakgala Botanical garden is most famous Botanical garden of Sri Lanka.

Hakgala high forest and Hakgala Mountain is at above area of Hakgala botanical garden. In December to February month’s high amount of mist covered all areas of Hakgala Mountain and also Hakgala Park. Temperature of is changed between 2 to 10 Celsius values. Several experiments and research about local flora are handled in Haggala Garden.
