Meepilimana (Kande Ela) Tank of Sri Lanka

Mepilimana Lake (Tank) is at between Ambewela and Nuwaraeliya places. This tank is very famous in April New Year seasonal time. Anjalika and lot of movies, video songs, Teledramas of Sri Lanka are shooting at Mepilimana Lake. Mepilimana Lake is at Mepilimana and its original name is Kande Ela Lake. Ruwaneliya junction is at between of Nuwaraeliya and Nanuoya. There are about 6km to this lake from Ruwaneliya junction. Ambewela is at 4Km from Meepilimana Lake. Boat service and fresh vegetable sales centers are available in closed to this tank.

Several residence hotels and rooms at close to Mipilimana. Ruwaneliya becomes before Mipilimana. There are several hotels at Ruwaneliya. You can enjoy a lot with boat riding at Mipilimana Lake. This Lake is at near Ambewela farm. Several cows and cattle’s are at this farm.

A transport to tank is also available to Meepilimana from Nuwaraeliya town. Busses are available to Meepilima from Nuwaraeliya or Pattipola from Nuwaraeliya via Meepilimana Lake. Kande Ela circuit bungalow is at closed to Meepilimana.
